How do you interpret SAT scores?

Question: I took the SAT last month and just got my scores back yesterday, but I have no clue on how to interpret them. I think I did ok but I really want to know if my scores are good or bad!
Answers: Your score report should give you a break-down for each of the three sections. This will tell you how you did on each part of each section so you know the areas you need to work on. Each section will also have a score and a percentile.

Most colleges will look at the total score, which you get by adding the scores (between 200-800) from each section together. A few colleges may just look at the math and critical reading.

The percentile score tells you what percent of the people taking the same test did worse than you did. For example, if you got 55% on reading, that means that out of 100 people, 55 got a lower score than you, and 45 got a higher score. That will give you some idea of how good your scores are.

To decide if you need to retake the test, check your total score against the score needed to get into the college you want. If you didn't get high enough, you can retake as many times as you want, and colleges will look at your best score. Some will even take your best math, best reading, and best writing, even if they weren't on the same test day.
Well, first of all i have to know your scores. However it depends.Generally a 700 at the reading part ,a 750 at the maths part and a750 at writing are acceptable and are supposed to be very good results, if not more than very good.
