How Long For GED?
Question: About how long does it take to finish the GED? I just took the pre test and only have a little studying to do. Would it be possible if I do good to have it by the end of next month so I can apply for fall semester college, get registered and everything.
Answers: Yeah it doesnt take long at all. They have tests held periodically which cost money to take. But your test you will get back that day I think. So just get in there and write it!
It could be hard to get into a busier course (electricianing). they will put you on a waiting list.
but usually spots will open up a few days before the course starts anyway.
most will be available
One thing at a time though, write the test
my daughter finished in 2 months, depends on how well u score, how many classes u attend..at least thats how it was here in NC..it took her longer to have to wait to take the tests...
That all depends on the individual. The GED is not hard for some, while it can be quite challenging for others. The results will take about five or six weeks. Depending on the college, you can probably apply before you even take the exam and your admission would hinge on success. Check with the college that you want to attend for admission requirements. Some schools do not accept the GED, and some have high school make-up course work that must be done before starting a degree program.
Sure, I took the pre-test, and then went and took the test on the next available date(2 days later) and had no problems. As long as you are willing to apply yourself and do not have a lot of studying to do. You should be able to do it, no problem.
Kudo's to you for getting it done. I hope you do great.
