How many times can an IB student can take the tests?
Question: Does an IB student have a right to take the exams more than one time?
Answers: You can basically take the tests over as many times as you like, as long as you pay for them. (I believe it's about 500-600 euros per exam)
There is the November session and the May session. Should you fail for example, the May session, you could retake it the year after that. But if you prefer not to wait a whole year, you could take the November session later the same year (provided that you pay the necessary fees)
The only thing is that the May session is taken in the northern hemisphere of the world. So say for instance that you failed an exam in the May session, and you don't want to wait til next year, you'd have to travel to the southern hemisphere to be able to take the November session.
However, I think that solution would be very pricey, because you'd have all the travel expenses to pay, plus the school application fees etc. So my suggestion is to try and pass them the first time through. I took my IB exams last year.
