Is a 1575 on the sat's good or bad?
Question: so, i recently took the psats given out by princeton review and on this i got a 1575 i was wondering how good or bad is that? And oh yeah this is being compared to the new sat's.
Answers: It's average, considering 500/800 on each section of the new SAT is an average score. To me, personally, a score over 1800 is descent, and over 2100 is superb. Universities like UCLA or UC Berkeley would probably not accept anyone with that score, but Cal States (for example) might. Just do a lot of practice exams and you will be able to increase your score dramatically. Good luck!
Are you sure that's your score? I would think someone with a score that high wouldn't have to ask if that's a good or bad score ... but, yea that's a good score: actually, that's a great score.
If that score is for all three parts it means you scored above the national average. Now whether it is good or bad depends on what university you wish to attend.
Good Luck!!!
It is low average. While you are certainly not in the lowest end of the scores, you are not in the highest either. You need to re-take it several times to try and increase it if you are trying to get into a very competitive college. You are talking about the new score right? If you are talking about the old score, then it is very good. With the old score, a perfect was 1600. But for the new score a perfect is 2400, 800 points for each section.
umm it needs some work, it really depends on where u wanna go to college ivy's usually want 2100+, but decent college are fine w/ 1700-2000 range, secondly this score isn't true, b/c it's impossible to get a 1575 on the PSAT's cause ur scores can't end in number other then 0 (ie 1570 not 1575, 1600 not 1605)
Averages in 2006 were around 1520, so you are above average! Well done.
Although Princeton Review tests are pretty accurate, everyone always does better on the real SAT.
Good Luck on the SAT!
