How many points off (out of 2400) on the SAT I is it if you: a) get one wrong and b) leave one blank (details)

Question: like......

i'm thinking if you leave one blank, you lose about 30 points or so (out of 2400), and if you get it wrong, perhaps it's about 50 out of 2400 points off?

just trying to estimate my SAT score ahead of time is all... math whizzes or people who just know... help?

I think I skipped about 3 math, 5 english questions....

and got 2-6 wrong.

hmmm...
Answers: 2-6 wrong in all or on each section? if 2-6 in all, you can get around a 2100 or even higher. If it's 2-6 on each section, then around 1960.
You'll get a 1960...i.e. if u get four questions wrong..if 6 then 1860 and if 2 wrong then 2060.....i hope u get a 2060..neways best of luck..
It should be that:
a) if you get one wrong - costs you 1/4 of a point.
b) if you skip a question - costs you 0 points; doesnt really affect your total score except that now you have lost an opportunity to gain points.
Took me awhile to find the conversion chart...

3 skipped in math would equate to about 740. 5 english skipped, 770. Adding in two more wrong answers per section, you're looking at about 740 + 710 + your writing score. Either way, a loss of about 150 points.

Perfect writing score, 2250. If you got 6 of them wrong instead of 2, you're looking at 700 + 670 + writing score, so maximum of 2170 with a perfect writing score.

Assuming your writing score to be about 700, which is reflective of your other scores, you're looking at about 2070, which is a solid score.

As a general rule of thumb, you're going to subtract 10 points for each incorrect answer. However, there are a few exceptions where 20 is deducted, or sometimes even none.
